Hello and Welcome to One Word Faith!

I started One Word Faith originally in July 2018. A grand adventure making a dream come true. I learned about creating websites, designing graphics, emailing subscribers, and so much more – technically speaking. While I created posts, I drew close to God. My most important lesson: humility.

When Covid-19 arrived in the US and so much changed in the world in an instant, I pulled back from One Word Faith. In hindsight, I wish I would have leaned more into it instead.

Now in 2025, it is time for a resurrection. Of this blog, yes, but more importantly, of the deep faith it was built on.

This blog is not just a personal hobby, but a true calling. Some people are turned away from church, religion, or the Bible because the world makes it all overly complicated, too political, too exclusionary, or just too much.  One Word Faith supports the concept of taking the faith journey one word at a time, similar to the idea of one step at a time, one day at a time. This is a space for “Faith Explorers” to renew their minds and refresh their souls, one word at a time. I write about my Faith journey as it plays out in everyday life – much like a 3-minute devotional.

Therefore, the structure of most of my blogs is taking a specific word (e.g., Courage, Identity, Seek ) and explore it – what is the definition?  How does this word “appear” in my life? What are my personal stories & reflections about this word?  Then take the word into scripture and reference a handful of verses that contain the word.
