Looking across the room
she sees her destination
those arms reaching out
beckoning to her.
Her heart beats faster
as she attempts to stand
her knees wobbling
her eyes getting blurry.
She looks down at her feet
wondering if they are stuck
for she cannot get them
to take this first step.
She takes a deep breath
and says, “I think I can”
picks up her foot
and places it forward.
After so much concentration
and committment
she has finally done it
she has taken her first step
towards Love.
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8
